Quara Reserve Malbec

Blend: 100% Malbec Location: Cafayate Valley, Salta Altitude: 1,800 M.A.S.L. Alcohol: 13.4% ABV Tasting Note: A nose of damson, liquorice and sweet spices leads to a complex palate with firm yet structured tannins adding weight and texture to this well-rounded wine; black pepper, plums and toasty oak flavours can all be found here. Vinification: After hand-picking the fruit undergoes a cold maceration for 3 to 4 days. Fermentation with selected yeasts at controlled temperatures between 24°C and 26°C with twice daily remontages and one delestage. Bressano Malbec

Blend: 100% Malbec Location: Paraje Altamira, Gualtallary, & Vista Flores, Uco Valley, Mendoza Altitude: 1,000 – 1,300 m.a.s.l Alcohol: 14.5% ABV Tasting Note: Purplish red against a dark backdrop. Complex and intense aromas that unfold with notes of crème brulée, candied fruit, plums and black fruits. On the palate, its structure, volume and silkiness stand out, revealing a wonderful integration of fruit and oak after aging, and a lingering, very elegant finish. Vinification: Pre-ferment maceration for 72 hours, followed by fermentation in barrels and stainless steel tanks, with overall maceration processes lasting between 15 and 24 days. Temperature fermentation does not go above 25°C. Aged 18 months in 225-litre French oak barrels, with 80% of the wine being aged in new barrels. White flowers such as orange blossom and jasmine on the nose, with notes of orange peel, honey and apricot. A balanced palate of bright acidity and rich stone fruit leads to a refreshing finish. Vinification: The grapes are harvested early in the morning to arrive fresh for slow fermentation with native yeasts. Reductively treated in the cellar, the clear juice is cool-fermented for 4 weeks to retain the delicate fruit and then left on lees for 3 months prior bottling.
