Maria and I always expected our 10th anniversary year to be something special, but it has really surpassed our expectations. We’re thankful for the continued support of all our customers and producers that has made this such a wonderful journey.

Whilst wishing everyone a merry and successful festive season, we couldn’t help reflecting on some of our personal 2021 highlights.

It goes without saying that the memory of our 10th Anniversary Flight of the Condor and Discovery Sessions events will stay with us for a long time. We had such an amazing time and were so pleased to be able to share the day with all the customers, producers, friends and family who could join us. We’re already looking forward to welcoming an even bigger group to our 20th anniversary event in 2031!

It has been exciting to see how fast our portfolio has expanded this year. We are very proud of our range and have obviously enjoyed seeking out new listings that we think will surprise and delight our customers. We’ve added new wines from existing producers, such as the lovely Hermandad Winemaker Series from Falasco and the exciting organic range from Francois Lurton’s Bodega Piedra Negra. We’ve also built new partnerships with unique wineries such as Onofri, Volcanes de Chile and Vina Dagz. We’re thrilled to welcome these talented winemakers to the Condor family, and we hope that you are too.

It’s been satisfying to be able to add two new faces to the Condor team; Mark Jeffries as Regional Manager for the North and Rob Burnard as Operations Executive focusing on end-to-end supply chain. It’s also been so good to be able to get back on the road again, both for events such as SITT and to support our customers with in-store tastings. It really is one of the best parts of the job and it’s so good to be back out there.
